Falls can be a very serious setback, so preventing them is critical.  That's why we've invested in our ability to offer a comprehensive Proactive Fall Prevention Program.  Our program has been adapted from the CDC Compendium and STEADI initiative (Stopping Elderly Accidents, Deaths, and Injuries).  It features the Otago Exercise Program, which has been endorsed by the American Physical Therapy Association and is clinically proven to reduce falls among older adults by up to 40%.

Program Features:

  •  Individualized, Evidenced-based exercises
  •  Upper and lower extremity strengthening and flexibility
  •  Dynamic balance training
  •  Assessment tools to measure progress
  •  Home safety counseling & education

Our Fall Prevention Program typically involves 4-8 physical therapy sessions coupled with a home exercise program.  It can be covered by most major health insurers, including Medicare.  Please contact us for more details.
